Nintendo of America’s Twitter account unveils a new $200 “Galaxy Style” 3DS XL model. Purple-lovers rejoice.
Nintendo of America’s president Reggie Fils-Aime confirmed in a video overview that a new style of the 3DS XL would be hitting North America stores this week. The new style features bold colors, and an eye-catching design.
This announcement comes off the heels of Nintendo recently slashing prices of some of the top best selling games on the 3DS and Wii U platforms. A new Super Mario 3DS bundle was also announced, but this new Galaxy Style model separates itself with an actual recolored and styled console, and not just face-plates. The only thing lacking is a preinstalled game.
The style definitely stands out from the crowd, and might be a hot item if it’s still on store shelves for the holiday season. As of right now, you can find it online and in-stores. There are cheaper 3DS options, and other 3DS XL bundles include games while the new Galaxy Style does not. Overall the 2DS is still the best bang for your buck, but for those who just love this new color.. it’s a hard price to pass up.
