Game Guide: Pokémon Go

News

Gotta catch ’em all! Here’s how.

This July Pokémon Go celebrates it’s one year anniversary. The game hasn’t slowed down, with an avid player base and new updates that have expanded the game and made it even more exciting.   If you’re new to the craze, or just looking to expand your Pokémon Go knowledge, we’re here to help! For help on your adventure to become a master Pokémon Trainer, follow our helpful tips below!     Track Pokémon: Just like a real hunter, you can use techniques to find specific Pokémon lurking in the wild. Your radar on the bottom right corner of the screen is a helpful way to see how many steps away you are from a specific Pokémon. You can also find Pokémon by their type. Water Pokémon will be near water. Grass Pokémon are on regular grass terrain, etc.   Make Pokémon Go Part of Your Daily Routine: Just like you check social media at least once a day, check Pokémon Go as well. You’ll earn Daily Bonuses when you open the app at least once a day. It’s an easy way to improve your game.   Have an Egg? Leave Your Phone On: Anyone who plays Pokémon Go notices that even when stationary, your trainer takes steps periodically as the GPS locates your exact location. Use this to your advantage. If you have an egg in an incubator, leave your phone on and Pokémon Go open. Even when standing still, or busy doing something else. Each bit of movement counts as a step. This will greatly reduce the time it will take to hatch an egg.   Watch Your Speed: If you are driving, biking, taking a bus, or taking another form of fast transportation, the game will know. When open, Pokémon Go will allow you to catch Pokémon while traveling fast. But if you want to use that movement towards hatching an egg, it won’t work. The game will notify you that you are moving too fast. You are better off using that transport time to spot rare Pokémon, and catching them while traveling.   Follow these simple tips and you’ll be off to a great start on your Pokémon Trainer career!
