Rockstar Games has announced that their highly anticipated new game Red Dead Redemption 2, has been delayed. The original release date was planned for fall of this year.
Instead, gamers will have to wait until spring of 2018. Strauss Zelnick from Rockstar had this to say regarding the delay, “The purpose of the delay for Red Dead Redemption 2 is to make sure we deliver the most extraordinary we’re capable of providing.”
“We are building a new game from the ground up for the first time for new-generation consoles. And the pressure that we put on ourselves to deliver excellence and to delight consumers is extraordinary.” Zelnick further added.
It’s unknown if Rockstar will be showing the game at this year’s E3, but one can assume it will be making an appearance. The company’s stock took a tumble after the delay announcement, but quickly rebounded.
Regardless of the delay, anticipation for the game continues to build. We’ll bring you more about the game when news breaks.
